Guide: Rexxar - The Beat Master

Rexxar is a very strong hero and he also brings a lot more fun than other heros.

Hes good at lonely fighting as well as giving teamsupport.

Rexxar - The Beastmaster
Range: 100 | Move Speed: 310
Primary: STR
Str: 23 + 2.2 | Agi: 18 + 1.6 | Int: 16 + 1.9
Damage: 56 - 60 | HP: 587 | Mana: 208
HP Regen: 0.94 | Mana Regen: 208
Attack Speed: 1.18 | Armor: 5
A wandering vagrant of the Mok'nathal, the fabled half orc-half ogres of legend, Rexxar and his mighty blades have joined the cause of the Sentinel to better protect the natural world around him. A friend of beasts, Rexxar flails and tears at his enemies with unsettling savagery, even going as far as hurling his axes in the manner of boomerangs at his enemies to better his chances at victory. Truly a warrior of the living planet that thrives around him, the Beastmaster is an ally to be counted on when he is needed the most.

Wild Axes (W)
Rexxar hurls his two axes to as far as 1300 range from him, which then intersect and return to him. Each axe can only damage a unit once.
Level 1 - Each axe deals 90 damage.
Level 2 - Each axe deals 120 damage.
Level 3 - Each axe deals 150 damage.
Level 4 - Each axe deals 180 damage.
Mana Cost: 120
Cooldown: 13

Call of the Wild (D)
Rexxar calls upon wild beasts to aid him. The duration, strength and number of beasts increases per level. Previous summons are removed upon casting.
Level 1 - Summons a Scout Hawk.
Level 2 - Summons a Scout Hawk and a Quilbeast..
Level 3 - Summons a Greater Hawk and a Quilbeast.
Level 4 - Summons a Greater Hawk and a Greater Quilbeast.
Greater Hawk: No permanent invisibility. Has an active invisibility: duration 5 seconds 1 second fadetime, 30 cooldown 25 -> 200 hp 100 -> 40 bounty 280 -> 400 ms Greater Quillbeast = 500 hp Duration: = 60 seconds
Mana Cost: 25
Cooldown: 40

Beast Rage ()
When Rexxar engages an opponent, his animalistic nature grants him even greater profiency in single combat. With each continuous blow on the same target, Rexxar gains understanding of the pey’s defence, and guides each strike with greater ease than the last. Maximum of 100% increased attack speed. If Rexxar changes targets, his attack speed returns to normal.
Level 1 - Every continuous attacks give Rexxar 5% of bonus attack speed.
Level 2 - Every continuous attack gives Rexxar 10% of bonus attack speed.
Level 3 - Every continuous attack gives Rexxar 15% of bonus attack speed.
Level 4 - Every continuous attack gives Rexxar 20% of bonus attack speed.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A

Primal Roar (R)
The Beastmaster looses a deafening roar which deals damage and stuns its target. Enemy units near the roar wave take minor damage and have their movement speed and attack rate reduced. Due to the force of the roar, all units between the Beastmaster and his prey are shoved aside, creating an open path.
Level 1 - 200 primary damage, 3 second stun. 100 side damage, 2 second slow.
Level 2 - 250 primary damage, 3.5 second stun. 200 side damage, 3 second slow.
Level 3 - 300 primary damage, 4 second stun. 300 side damage, 4 second slow.
Mana Cost: 150 / 175 / 200
Cooldown: 70 / 65 / 60

Secondly, the Skill Order:

1. Wild Axes Your main nuke, mainly to make dmg on enemy heros, but also helps great @farming
2. Call of the Wild The Hawk protects you from ganks and helps you chasing enemies. (spoofs mh perfectly)
3. Wild Axes
4. Call of the Wild The Beast's slow is really helpful for killing heros or escaping from them, but it also assits farming.
5. Wild Axes
6. Primal Roar Your Ulti, very context-strong and it has a short cooldown.
7. Wild Axes
8. Call of the Wild
9. Call of the Wild
10. Beast Rage Improves your DPS, makes you very dangerous in 1on1-fights
11.Primal Roar
12. Beast Rage
13. Beast Rage
14. Beast Rage
15. Stats ...
16. Primal Roar
17.-25. Stats

Thirdly, the ItemOrder:

Well, the Items are always arguable, there will be always someone thinking something is better/ worse then whatever^^

3.1 Anyway, this is my favorite IO:

1. 2 Gauntlets of Strengh, 2 Cirlets of Nobility (they help farming) and Tangos (if its -AR)
2. RingofHealth (best to buy at side-shops)
3. Void Stone
4. Boots and 2 Bracer-Recipes
5. --> finish Phase Boots/ Power Threads (my choise is always Phase boots, i trust on Movementspeed and armor more than Attackspeed and some hp)
6. Broadsword
7. Claymore
8. Mask of Death
9. Helm of Dominator (now you could also get another creep)
10. Messerschmidt's Reaver
11. Satanic
12. Demon Edge
13. 2 Javelins

if the game is not finished, get Buriza (dmg for dps) or Heart of Tarrasque (hp --> tank)

-em special: if -em is activated, you could get a Radiance instead of a Battlefury --> more dps, even better farming and the mana-reg isnt needed in -em.

3.2 Another Core Build the necro build is very common on at a higher lvl dota, but i guess it mostly fails on pub
1. Empty Bottle heal and mana-refill . . . .
2. Bracer
3. Boots
4. Necronomicon combined with ulti and slow, those 2 guys become very strong!
5. Boots of Travel unlimited tps and nice movement speed.
6. Assault Curiass improves the DPS of yourself, your units and your allies

How to use the Axes:

-the axes will always hit the point, where you targeted at, with delay, but they will hit everything in their way
---> aim into the enemy's run

-as longer the axes's way is, the more delay

-if you aim at your body, the axes will first fly forward, backwards again and afterwards follow you again --> nice way to hit chasers without turning around

-the Axes can cut down trees

-the range is very very enormous

-screenie for max range and hitboxes (sometimes they are bigger)

How to use the Ulti

-after clicking on the target, Rexxar will almost instantly stun (if in range, but sometimes the range is surprisingly big)

-the ulti has a short cooldown --> spam it (NOT WASTE IT THOUGH :laugh
-good way to focus out enemies

-slows all other target

-deals good dmg

-the stun is very long!

-very good for escaping and helping teammates

-good to let the quillbeast beast catch up

-screenie for showing the impact:

Hope this helps you playing Rexxar and increases your fun with him....
